		<description>I agree with what you are saying, but consider the car market.  Every time I walk into a car dealership, I deal with someone new.  Even if I deal with the same guy I did last time (numerous years ago), he doesn&#039;t know anything about me.

If they had a really good CRM system, they could bring up my notes and know that by now my kids need a car, or that my last car is now 10 years old and I might need a new one.  They might see that I have bought 5 cars already from here and see that my wife does the negotiation - since I am not in with my wife, they probably won&#039;t make the sale today.

Those notes in a CRM system can be set to save forever.  That way, the 7 year cycle doesn&#039;t have to mean you are a new customer every time.</description>
